Folk Art Large Wooden Green Goose

This charming goose, hand carved of rough, found wood and painted blue-green, is a wonderful, eye-catching piece of folk art. From its very large glass eyes to its two flipped-up metal "feathers" and the real metal nail on the tip of its beak,* this is a bird with a sense of humor.
Measuring 22 inches long from the tip of its beak to the tip of its tail, it's 11 inches tall to the top of its head. At the widest point across its breast it measures 7 inches and it weighs a sturdy 5 pounds. The natural wood has knots, splits and lots of rough spots, but the goose itself displays well and brings a smile wherever it goes.
*Like a duck, a goose has piece of cartilage on the tip of its beak called a nail.
