These hand-painted porcelain figurines depict three French Army leaders with biographical details incised on the undersides of their bases. We have listed them below in the order of our photos, the incised details first in French and then in English:

He is wearing a deep blue tailcoat displaying his decorations and medals with gold embroidery on the collar and lapels; a red, white and blue sash at his waist; gold epaulettes and a red cockade and a white feather on his black bicorne hat covering his gray hair. These figurines were made by the Scheibe-Alsbach porcelain manufactory, founded in 1835 in Scheibe-Alsbach, Thuringia, Germany. The company is renowned for their high quality, hand-painted figurines, particularly French military leaders such as these three.  The blue underglaze mark on the bottom is a letter S with crossed with a horizontal X. The company used this mark from 1925 to 1972; these figurines probably date from the 1950's-60's.

All three are in excellent conditions, retaining the glossy enamels and gilding and, surprisingly, all the fingers, save for the very tip of Marshal Exelmans's thumb of his left hand. Each figurine stands approximately 9 1/4 inches tall on a rectangular base 2 3/4 inches by 2 1/8 inches, with weights varying from 12 to 15 ounces.
⚜️All white spots are due to light reflections on the enamel. They are NOT damage.
