This charming cast iron hand painted trivet features a plump smiling pink sow. She's standing on a patch of green grass inside a brown wooden fenced pen. The oval trivet has a decorative rim with a raised quatrefoil pattern painted brown that's trimmed in gold. It stands on four short legs that have permanent hard rubber caps over them to protect your surfaces. The back is sealed with black paint.

It measures about 6 1/2 inches by 9 1/4 inches, stands about 1 inch high and weighs 2 pounds, 2 ounces. It's in very good condition, with rubs on the paint that are mostly on the gold areas...just enough wear to lend a nice vintage look. The trivet can hold a hot pot on your counter, prop on your shelf or hang on your wall for an appealing farmhouse touch.
