Handmade of two thick pieces of pine, the bellows are hand painted in a soft sage green with freehand painting of flowers on the front. The two handles at the top are also painted green; the front one is pierced with a hole that has a newer leather thong.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\"\u003eThe sides of the bellows are covered in leather, attached with round brass tacks and very small nails. A large strip of the same leather, folded over on the back, holds the bellows snugly together. The nozzle is hand cut tin, befitting a country piece like this one, rather than the brass ones used on fancier bellows.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\"\u003eThe painting has just enough wear to give it a wonderful vintage look without a worn-out look.
