French Faience Tray Dish Hand Painted

This colorful, petite tray is handmade faience from Poët-Laval in Provence, France. Hand painted in mustardy yellow and decorated with purple grapes with their brown tendrils and green leaf, its rim is painted a deep cobalt blue topped with a wavy yellow line. We think it dates from the 1970's.
The tray is octagonal, a rectangle with cut corners. It measures 10 inches long, nearly 4 inches across, stands 1 inch high and weighs 10 ounces. The underside is the same shade of yellow, with a raised foot rim. It's stamped in black:
Faïence Provençale
du
Poët-Laval
FRANCE
This pottery is well-known for its rustic charm and durability. In good-as-new condition, with no discernible wear, this earthenware tray is both useful and pretty.
Note: Poët-Laval is in the Drôme Department of southern France. Any pottery marked Bresse or other French place names is not Poët-Laval.
